For seven great summers, I went to Camp Fitch starting off as a Shawnee camper and ending as a Camp Counselor. It was what I always looked forward to during my school years. I enjoyed every activity and cherished all of the friends I made each summer. Sadly as I went to college, I could no longer come back to Camp due to other responsibilities. Even though I couldn’t make time to be a counselor for another summer, I was happy to keep the memories of it.
Unfortunately, there are kids out there who would love to get the same camp experiences as I did, but miss out due to financial struggles. I decided I would go back to camp for a day, pretend I’m back in Polar Bear, jump in a freezing lake, and raise money to give a kid a summer to never forget. If anyone wants to sponsor me, my goal is $200. Camp Fitch Forever!
